This particular stream is meticulously crafted for adept farm owners and operators who have proven in experience in farming with considerable capital to invest in a farming operation and aspire to possess and manage a farm within the province.

This category is strictly for business in primary agriculture production (crops & livestock). Candidates interested in agri-business operation may qualify under entrepreneur category of SINP.

 Application Procedure

  • Applicants must visit Saskatchewan for at least 5 business days before applying. During the visit, meet with an SINP representative to discuss the farm operation plans and conduct research on relevant sectors.
  • Submit a comprehensive application to SINP, including documentation of farm ownership/operation experience, a Farm Establishment Plan for the proposed farm, and proof of meeting the minimum net worth requirement. Third-party verification of net worth is required. Applications can be sent in hard copy to SINP offices.
  • If the application passes pre-screening, pay a $2,500 CAD application fee. SINP may request an interview. Approved applicants sign a business performance agreement and provide a refundable $75,000 CAD deposit.
  • After approval, receive a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan. Apply for Canadian permanent residence. Applicants can also request a work permit support letter from SINP, facilitating a work permit application. These LMIA-exempt work permits allow work in Canada while establishing the business.
  • Complete and mail a paper-based permanent residence application to the appropriate center. Typically, paper-based PNP applications for permanent residence are processed within 18 months.
