Post-Graduate Entrepreneurial Stream

This stream is primary focus is on attracting individuals from other countries who have completed their education at a post-secondary institution in New Brunswick and have subsequently launched a thriving business within the province.

Program Eligibility

Requirements 
Express Entry Profile–         Need not to be enrolled in the Federal Express Entry pool.
Age–         Be between age range of 22 to 40 Years (accessed of the day that a complete application is submitted)
Job Offer–         Need not require a job offer to apply under this stream.
Language Proficiency–       Demonstrated language proficiency at Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 in either English or French.
Level of Education

–       Have successfully completed at least 2 Years post-secondary diploma or degree program (15 hours of class per week) in New Brunswick.

–       Have resided in New Brunswick during their academic program (Distance learning or compressed academic program not eligible).

Provide an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report from for their educational done outside Canada equivalent to a Canadian credential.

Connection to Province

–         Have completed a minimum 2 Years post-secondary degree program in New Brunswick, and

–         Have operated their own business for minimum 1 year in New Brunswick.

–         Have studied full time at a recognised university or community college in New Brunswick.

–         Have lived in New Brunswick during the educational program.

Work Experience

–       Have owned and operated a business for at least 1 year in New Brunswick.

–       Have a valid Post-Graduate Work Permit at the time of application.

Business Requirement

–       Own and have successfully operated a business in New Brunswick for a minimum of 1 year (Business must not fall under the list of ineligible businesses)

–       Have 100% owner ship of the equity of the eligible business

–       Be actively involved in daily management and direction of the business from with New Brunswick.

–       Receive compensation (salary) from their own business as per Low-Income Cut-Off (LICO) + 10%

–       Have their business a for-profit entity

–       Create at least 1 full-time Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident apart from a family member, directly related to business and meeting prevailing wage level.
