Visit

Visitor Visa
A Canada Visitor Visa, or Temporary Resident Visa (TRV), is a travel document required for individuals from certain countries to enter Canada temporarily for tourism, family visits, or business. The application process involves online submission, providing supporting documents, and, if needed, a medical examination. Eligibility criteria include financial stability, strong ties to the home country, and a genuine intent to leave Canada after the visit. Citizens exempt from a Visitor Visa may require an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)

Visitor Visa Extension
Extending a visitor visa in Canada involves applying for a Visitor Record through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) before the authorized period expires. By default, visitors are allowed up to 180 days, and the extension can grant an additional period. During the application process, applicants are granted implied status, allowing legal stay until a decision is made, provided the application is submitted before the authorized stay ends. Meeting prerequisites, demonstrating valid reasons, financial capability, and compliance with immigration laws enhance the likelihood of a successful extension.

Visitor Visa Restoration
If a visitor visa expires, restoration is crucial for continued stay. The process involves submitting an application for restoration within 90 days’ post-expiration. Key requirements include paying restoration fees, providing reasons for the extended stay, proof of current residence, and demonstrating financial capability. Departure is the primary alternative to restoration, and the restoration process emphasizes the temporary nature of the stay, clarifying the intent to rectify status following the expiration of the visitor visa

Super Visa
The Canada Super Visa is a special visa for parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents. To qualify, applicants must prove their relationship, undergo medical examinations, obtain Canadian health insurance, and meet income requirements. The sponsoring relative in Canada must provide financial support. The Super Visa enhances family connections by offering an extended stay option while ensuring healthcare coverage for visiting family members.

Temporary Resi. Permit (TRP)
A Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) in Canada is a special authorization for those facing inadmissibility issues, like a criminal record or immigration law violations. It allows temporary entry or stay under compelling circumstances for up to three years, extendable. TRP addresses specific challenges and is crucial for individuals to enter or stay in Canada despite barriers.

Elect. Travel. Auth. (eTA)
The Canadian Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is a mandatory online entry requirement for visa-exempt foreign nationals, excluding U.S. citizens. Introduced by the Government of Canada, it streamlines the application process, enhancing border security and facilitating travel for eligible visitors. The eTA, valid for up to five years or until passport expiration, is linked electronically to the traveler’s passport, underscoring Canada’s commitment to a secure immigration process while ensuring a smooth entry for visitors.

Facilitation Visa
The Facilitation Visa serves Canadian nationals abroad, particularly in cases managed by Global Affairs Canada (GAC). It provides an alternative for citizens residing overseas who require care and assistance, and in specific situations, the IRCC may issue this visa, allowing entry without a Canadian passport for dual nationality citizens.

Transit Visa
The Canada Transit Visa is essential for individuals from visa-required countries transiting through Canada. It ensures compliance with security and immigration standards. Applicants must apply before travel, providing transit plans and required documents. Once approved, it allows transit for up to 48 hours.
